Sell on Ajankara

Last updated the current version of the app

Put your shop in front of the people around you. Here's how selling works, what it costs, and how to start.

What you get

  • A shop page and listings for the products or services you offer.
  • Be found by people nearby, on the map and in search.
  • Chat with buyers directly.
  • Get paid safely: orders paid in the app are held in escrow until the buyer confirms them, or until they are released automatically (see the rules below).

Plans and fees

You can start on the Free plan. Each plan has a monthly price, a limit on how many listings buyers can see, and a commission rate on completed orders, including ones a buyer pays for on delivery. You're shown any charge before you pay it, and you can change plan later.

On an order paid for in the app, your commission comes out of your share of the payment. The buyer also pays Ajankara a separate platform fee on top of your price, so you are paid the price less your commission and the buyer's fee is never taken from you. There is no platform fee when a buyer pays on delivery.

How you get paid

When a buyer pays for an order, Ajankara holds the payment. You have 7 days from their payment to mark the order as sent. Once it is sent, the buyer has 72 hours to confirm it or raise a problem, and if they do neither, the payment is released to you automatically. If you never send it, it is cancelled and refunded to the buyer. Hails and “contact to arrange” listings are paid for directly between you and the buyer, outside escrow. The full rules are in our Terms of Service.

How to start

  1. Create an account, or log in to the one you have.
  2. Choose “Become a seller” and tell us about your business.
  3. Verify your identity (KYC). Your shop goes live once it's approved.
  4. Add your listings and start selling.
